Welcome To The Blog – Everyday Glam Makeup Look

The Most Gen Z Thing Of Me To Do To Date

~ Scroll down more if you dont want to read me rambling for the first bit… but to be fair, I can’t do it in person anymore ~

HEY WHAT’S UP Y’ALL, six weeks into quarantine and here I finally am– Starting a blog because I have done everything in the book to keep busy including getting a TikTok, learning to program, and making endless whipped coffee every morning. Guess it only took a government-mandated shelter-in-place to write about my makeup routine, which I distinctly remember telling friends I would do since high school ~whoops~. This is also pretty ironic considering I have looked like a potato for about five weeks now, and have set a record for the amount of days of not washing my hair.

On a more serious note, between all the various places I used to spend my days, I would frequently get asked what kind of makeup brands I wore or how I did my winged liner…I guess practice makes perfect. I prefer to work efficiently, including getting a makeup routine down to look put-together every day.  What is the saying again? You feel your best when you look your best. I know not everyone wants to wake up and put more effort into their routines but I just feel it sets the pace for how my day or week will go.

These are the products of what my routine has consisted of lately, this does change once I run out {even if I love it} because I get bored easily. Who can relate?

First I use YSL Touche Eclat All-Over Brightening Pen – I use this as a primer to my eyeshadow and as a concealer because I’m actually really lazy lol. I apply to lid and under-eye at same time.

I don’t prime my face everyday because like I said before, I get ready really fast and cut out all products I can for that full beat but ~minimal~ beat.

For Foundation, I use IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream most days because I like that it feels light weight. The trick here is to apply with a synthetic brush and then to blend the streaks out with a damp beauty blender. I pretty much always use CC cream every day because I don’t like full coverage, but when I do, I use either Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation or the NARS Radiant Creamy Foundation.

I use Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder to set my face and under-eyes.

For eyeshadow, I use the Morphe The Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette lately. I like this one because it’s big, obviously, and just easy to switch things up with so many colors from neutral to bright. But usually not, I just use like two neutral brown colors everyday, one to blend and one to contour (efficiency baby).

Then I usually apply liquid eyeliner– I use the KVD tattoo liner and sephora brand felt tip liner. Its super precise and makes it easier to get a fleeky wing everyday which I prefer because it blends lashes better.

And I either put lashes on or have lash extensions, but I’m a weirdo who prefers lashes because I LOVE RUBBING MY EYES UNTIL I LOOK LIKE A RACCOON EVERY NIGHT. I dont like spending the time it takes to make mascara look good, but my fave one at the moment is Too Faced’s Better than sex. * Should I do a post dedicated to lashes?

(funny story, I have been identified as “the girl with the eyelashes” at work before… love that this is what people remember of me).

For everyday, I use Benefit Gimmie Brow pencil.

For highlighter when I’m not trying to look like a flashlight is being shined directly in my face, I like Pretty Vulgar’s Shimmering Swan Highlighter or Becca’s highlighter in Opal.

For Bronzer, I use either the SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL Bronzer which is creamy and I like that it blends seamlessly. As for a powder contour, I use the Shade + Light Face Contour Refillable Palette (doubles as eyeshadow if you forget to bring it). And If I wear blush that day, it’s usually MAC’s Melba.

Boom. Done. Oh, and to lock all that hard work in, I set with Too Faced Hangover 3-In-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray.

If you have made it this far, congrats, hopefully you actually like this content because I plan on writing more regardless. Gotta let the creative side of me out a little more so see ya soon 😉

Probably would have been easier to film a tutorial.. maybe next time?
